Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule

More than 72 Hours Before Charter

100% Refund

Eligible for: Entire refund minus handling charges

Processing Time: 5-7 business days

Processing Fee: €50 for credit card payments

Conditions: Must be solicited in written form through email or telephone

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Eligible for: Half of the full charter price

Processing Time: 7-10 business days

Processing Fee: €25 subtracted from the reimbursement

Conditions: A valid justification is required; administrative costs are applicable

Less than 24 Hours Before Charter

No Refund

Eligible for: No reimbursement provided

Exception: Emergency circumstances might be considered

Alternative: A charter voucher may be given at the discretion of management

Conditions: Proof is required for emergency situations

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Weather Guarantee

Your safety always comes first. If the charter cannot operate due to weather as decided by our certified captain, we extend flexible options:

  • Full Refund: A complete reimbursement if rescheduling isn’t an option
  • Reschedule: Transfer your reservation to the next open slot with no extra fees
  • Charter Credit: A voucher valid for one year from the original charter date

Weather Assessment Process

We evaluate the weather by examining:

  • Wind velocities and directional patterns
  • Oceanic wave size and the condition of the sea
  • Forecast on visibility and chances of rainfall
  • Warnings and alerts from the Coast Guard
  • The safety judgment of the professional captain

Decision Timeline: Determinations on weather cancellations are made no later than 4 hours ahead of the scheduled departure time.

Medical Emergency Refunds

Emergency Circumstances

We recognize that urgent medical issues can arise suddenly. These scenarios could be eligible for extraordinary measures:

  • Serious illness or harm needing hospital admission
  • Loss of a close family member
  • Military deployment or emergency call back
  • Jury service or legal subpoena
  • Natural disasters impacting the itinerary

Documentation Requirements

For processing requests concerning emergency refunds, the following proofs are necessary:

  • Verification from medical institutions or health certificates
  • Death certification as applicable
  • Orders issued by the military
  • Legal summons or notices of jury duty
  • Advisories or declarations related to emergencies regarding travel

Processing: Emergency reimbursement requests are attended to within 3-5 business days upon submission of required documents.

Operational Cancellations

Mechanical Issues

Should your designated vessel suffer operational faults that are unresolvable:

  • Alternative Vessel: An effort to provide another suitable yacht will be made
  • Full Refund: If we fail to offer an equivalent alternative
  • Partial Refund: If the substitute yacht has a different rate
  • Compensation: Possible additional compensation for inconveniences

Crew Unavailability

In the rare instance that reliable crew is not obtainable:

  • Replacement crew will be sought where feasible
  • A complete refund issued if the rental cannot advance
  • Options to reschedule with no incremental charges

Refund Processing

Payment Method

Reimbursements utilize the same method as the initial reservation payment:

  • Credit Cards: Processed within 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfers: Processed within 7-10 business days
  • Cash/Cheque: Processed within 3-5 business days

Processing Fees

Credit Card Processing

A €50 charge for terminations that are effected more than 72 hours in advance

Bank Transfer Processing

A €25 charge for all reimbursements through bank transfers

International Processing

Additional charges may be applicable for transactions made internationally

Charter Credits

When Credits Are Offered

In some cases, charter credits may be provided instead of reimbursements:

  • Cancellations that are made late (less than 24 hours prior)
  • Charter disruptions due to weather events
  • Voluntary alterations to reservation timings
  • Unanticipated operational setbacks

Credit Terms

  • Validity: Effective for one year post issuance
  • Transferability: Credits cannot be transferred to other individuals
  • Value: Equivalent to the full amount of the charter, exempt of processing fees
  • Usage: Applicable for any charter openings
  • Expiration: Must be used within 12 months, extensions are not granted

Partial Service Refunds

Service Interruptions

If your yacht rental is disrupted or curtailed due to reasons we control:

  • Proportional reimbursement based on the portion of the service not used
  • A credit for a subsequent rental of equivalent value
  • Free services or enhancements

Guest-Related Interruptions

If a rental concludes prematurely due to guests’ behaviour or safety infractions:

  • No reimbursement for the unutilized duration
  • Total payment obligation remains in effect
  • Possible additional fees

Dispute Resolution

In the event of disagreement with a refund adjudication, the following options may be pursued:

  • Query a reevaluation by our administrative bodies
  • Furnish additional proof or documentation
  • Engage consumer rights organizations for mediation
  • Explore lawful recourse conforming to relevant legislations

How to Request a Refund

Your application should encompass:

  • Your confirmation code for the booking
  • The specific date and time of your charter
  • The basis for cancellation
  • Any necessary supporting papers
  • Your desired method for reimbursement

Step 3: Review and Processing

We will confirm receipt of your submission within a day, evaluate it in accordance with the policy, determine a course of action within two days, and fulfill accepted refunds as per the outlined timelines.

Important Notes

  • All applications for reimbursement must be presented in writing
  • Reimbursements are effected in €, notwithstanding the currency employed for the initial payment
  • Securing travel insurance is highly advisable
  • Modifications to this protocol can be instated with a forewarning of 30 days
  • The reimbursement is subject to prevailing legal taxes and directives
